Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell is a American TV chef and an instructor from the Institute of Culinary Education. Anne W. Burrell is host of Secrets of a Restaurant Chef for the Food Network, as well as the co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Ann Burrell's Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant chef, with her trademark spiky blond locks and pumped up personality, provides the basics of cooking that anyone can master. Chef Burrell also worked at several of the city's most prestigious eateries, learned about Italian food, its culture and traditions, and was a contestant on Food Network's Iron Chef America. As a child in Upstate New York Chef Burrell was attracted by the food. The Culinary Institute of America was the next step for her when she earned a Bachelor of Arts in English as well as Communications from Canisius College Buffalo NY. I enjoyed every moment during my time in The Culinary Institute of America she declares. I couldn't learn or do enough. After graduation, Burrell spent one year studying at the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners as well as working at Umbria's La Taverna del Lupo as well as Tuscany's La Bottega del 30, a Michelin-starred restaurant. The chef gained an knowledge of Italian culinary and cultural traditions while in Italy and this has affected her cooking style. Burrell was the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board members, which strives to improve the quality of life for kids who are facing difficulties. Burrell also serves as a Juvenile Disease Research Foundation celebrity ambassador, and is a vocal advocate for awareness of childhood diabetes. She has been a frequent speaker at conferences and travels throughout the United States in her mentorship task.
