Pom Klementieff

Pom Klementieff was born on May 3, 1986. She studied at the Cours Florent drama school in Paris and has appeared in such films as Loup (2009), Sleepless Night (2011) and Hacker's Game (2015). She is the voice of Mantis in the Marvel Cinematic Universe films Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. (2017). Avengers: Infinity War (2018). Avengers: Endgame (2019). Pom Klementieff was born in Quebec City to a Korean father and French-Russian mother. He worked as a consul for the French government. Eugene Klementieff was her grandfather. Because it sounded similar to the Korean words for "spring" or "tiger", her parents named their daughter Pom. Klementieff was an American citizen for a single year. Her family had travelled extensively as a result of her father's job. After moving to France and then to France, she lived in Japan. Klementieff lost her father to cancer at age five. Her mother was also diagnosed with schizophrenia. Klementieff was raised in France by her aunt and paternal uncle. Her uncle, whom she said in her own words as "like her first father," died on Klementieff’s 18th birthday. Her older brother died seven years after his death. This time, it happened on the 25th anniversary of her birth. After the death of her uncle Klementieff went to law school for a short time to impress her aunt. But she didn't consider the profession appealing. She was also salesperson and waitress in France. She started acting at age 19 in the Cours Florent drama school in Paris. A few months into her education, she won an award for theater that granted her free classes for two years with the school's best teachers. Klementieff was the first person to perform professionally in the independent French film Apres lui (2007). She played the role of the stepdaughter for the main character Catherine Deneuve. Filming for her scenes took three days. Klementieff was supposed push another person down a set staircase but fell down. Gael Mostl kept the shot in the final film. Her first leading role was in Loup (2009), a French film that follows a tribe of reindeer herders in the Siberian mountains. Klementieff was filming in an isolated camp, which was a few hours from the closest village. It was there that temperatures dropped to minus.
