Milena Govich

Milena Govich is an actor director, musician, and actor. She has helmed numerous episodes of TV that include Chicago Med (2015) (211) and The Equalizer (221). In addition, she was the Co-EP/Producing director of Dick Wolf's CBS series FBI (2018). She is currently a part of two pilots that are in development. Milena was chosen as one of eight directors in AFI's prestigious Directing Workshop for Women. Unspeakable, her short film and TV show proof of concept was premiered at SXSW. It also took home Best Episodic at the Seattle International Film Festival, and Best Pilot at the SoHo International Film Festival. The film, Temporary, she produced (2017) was shown across the nation. The film won Best Narrative Short at Anthem Film Festival. Best Dark Comedy Award at Atlanta ShortsFest. Also, the Director's Choice Award from Sedona International Film Festival. Milena has been in over 100 TV episodes acting as an actress. She first gained national attention in CBS's Love Monkey (2006), then as the prostitute/con-artist Candy on three seasons of Rescue Me (2004) (Denis Leary/FX). Conviction (2006), an episode of the Dick Wolf series, was her second major character. It led to her being the Emmy-winning woman detective in Law & Order (1990). She has also been featured or recurred on numerous other showslike K-Ville (2007) (Fox); The Defenders (2010) (CBS); Make It or Break It (2009) (ABC Family) and for the role of Lori Stevens on the MTV drama Finding Carter (2014). Milena has been in numerous films which include Sordid Things (2010); A Novel Romance (2011) in which she starred alongside Steve Guttenberg; Pass the Light (2015) which starred alongside Method Man; as well as the role of #Lucky Number (2015). A native of Norman, Oklahoma, Milena was valedictorian at her high school. She then completed an undergraduate degree in both vocal performance and premed, with minors in dance and violin at the University of Central Oklahoma, as well as graduating valedictorian. In the following years, Milena utilised her classical ballet skills to perform in a show on Broadway in the Sam Mendes/Rob Marshall production 'Cabaret' in Studio 54.
