Rashida Jones
Rashida Jones was born in Los Angeles,
California to Quincy Jones, a media producer and mogul. Alongside Peggy Lipton,
Rashida is the younger sister of actress Peggy Lipton and Quincy Jones. Kidada
Jones is her older sister. She is also the half-sibling of five from her
father's other relationships. Her father is African American and her mother is
Ashkenazi Jewish (a descendant of emigrants from Russia and Latvia). Rashida
was raised in Reform Judaism. She was raised in Bel Air, Los Angeles,
California. Jones said that Jones' mixed race parents were unacceptable to her
during the 1970s. Jones made her acting debut professionally with The Last Don
in 1997 A mini-series that was inspired by Mario Puzo. Rashida was also an
Harvard University graduate in 1997. She was a student at the Buckley School in

African-American, also has a lesser amount of English, Scottish and Welsh
family ancestry (some people who are ancestors to Rashida's African ancestors
are from the Tikar people from Cameroon). Rashida's motheris Ashkenazi Jewish
(of Russian Jewish heritage as well as Latvian Jewish heritage), is Rashida.
Her maternal grandparents come from South Carolina and Mississippi. Her
maternal grandfather was born in New York and her maternal grandmother was of
Eastern European Jewish descent, was born in Dublin, Ireland. In the year 2009,
she was playing three distinct characters, including "Karen" in the
classic TV sitcoms Freaks and Geeks (1999), Stella ((2005) and The Office
((2005)).
