She was raised with two of her sisters Kaitlyn, and Carolyn. Kelly has not revealed any information about her parents such as their names or occupations. While growing up she attended numerous sporting events with her father, such as games of baseball, which resulted in her falling over the game. Kelly went to Clemson University in South Carolina after she graduated from high school. She earned a bachelor's degree as a youth Development Leadership leader. The University of Miami was her second option, and she earned a master's degree in Broadcast Journalism. Kelly was part of the ACC Digital Network during her time in the program. She also served as an assistant to the production. After receiving an offer for a job, Kelly joined the ACC Digital Networks. Kelly started her career as an athletic reporter. Also, she did interviews on the Saturday show, "ACC Kickoff". From 2013 to 2013, she was with the network, in which she was also a part of the "ACC NOW" show. Following her time with ACC Digital Network was over and she joined Fox Sports Florida as a freelance journalist. Her efforts has earned her a position with Fox Sports Sun.
