Alyson Lee Hannigan

Alyson Lee Hannigan was born on March 24, 1974. She is an American actress and host on television. Her credits include Willow Rosenberg (1997-2003) in Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Lily Aldrin (2005-2014), for which she received a People's Choice Award in 2009 and Michelle Flaherty (1999-2012). Hannigan hosts Penn Teller: Fool Us since 2016. Teller the Fool Us is a show that has been on the air since 2016. Hannigan is also Claire Clancy, an animated character from Fancy Nick (2018-2018). Hannigan is the sole daughter of Emilie (Posner) Haas (a real estate agent) and Alan Hannigan (a Teamsters worker). Hannigan's mother, who's Jewish is also Irish. At age four, Hannigan began appearing in commercials. When she was 11 , she moved to Hollywood with her mother. Her father, who was a casting agent, was with her in Santa Barbara. She auditioned. After graduation from high school she attended California State University Northridge. She was a member of the Alpha Chi Omega fraternity in Northridge and graduated with an undergraduate degree in psychology. Hannigan was first seen in the film My Stepmother Is an Alien. Seth Green was also one of her co-stars and was later her co-star on Buffy. Her first appearance in TV in 1989, when she was a star on ABC's sitcom Free Spirit. Hannigan was just 14 years old when she became a babysitter to Bob Saget's children. Saget was Hannigan's How I Met Your Mother costar. Hannigan was then selected to play Willow Rosenberg (Buffy Summers' best friend) in the TV series Buffy the Vampire Slayer. The show was awarded her media attention that she received in 1997. She also supervised Bob Saget's kids on the television series How I Met Your Mom. Angel asked her to reprise Willow's character in a couple of episodes.
