Mila Kunis Bio

Mila Kunis was born Milena Kunis in Chernivtsi, Ukraine on the 14th of August 1983. Kunis, seven years old, immigrated to the United States along with her parents Elvira and Mark Kunis. She eventually settled in Los Angeles. The Kunis family was unable to make it in America, despite having a modest $250. Kunis' parents both quit their professions to help their children. Mark was an engineer who worked who worked in mechanical engineering swiftly was able to find work as taxi driver. Elvira, an entomologist from Ukraine was able to run an entomology clinic. "I did not understand the culture," Kunis has said when she first arrived to the United States. I was not able to grasp the culture. I didn't know the language. The first sentence in my college application essay was "Imagine being blind and deaf at age 7". And that's what it was like moving to America. I was able to get over it quickly. Milena Markovna Kunis was born August 14 in 1983, to Mark Kunis and Elvira in Chernivtsi, Ukraine. She has an older brother. Her mother is a Physics teacher and her father owns a pharmacy. His father is a mechanical engineers by profession. When she was seven years old, her family moved to Los Angeles. Rosewood Elementary School was her first school. She began acting lessons when she was nine. She auditioned for a few commercials, and began her career on television in her first part on 'Days of our Lives', in 1994.She starred in small roles as a child actor in "Honey, We Shrunk Ourself and 'Santa with Muscles' and the Angelina Jolie's movie 'Gia'. She landed her first big role in 1998 as Jackie Burkhart on the hit sitcom 'That's 70s Show'. After receiving rave reviews, she was asked to play the role of Meg Griffin on animated sitcom 'Family Guy.
